The Arab Astronomical Society (ArAS) consists of a group of professional Arab researchers and students in the field of astrophysics who aim to develop research and education in the Arab world.

The objectives of the society are the promotion and advancement of Astronomy and Astrophysics in the Arab World. The society organizes the Arab School for Astrophysics (SfA), workshops, scientific meetings, and supports students,  researchers, and the popularization of Astronomy and other related activities.

The Arab Astronomical Society (ArAS) was officially founded during the constitutional assembly held in Marrakech, Morocco on November 30, 2016, legally recognized in Morocco on May 2017, and incorporated in the US in 2018.
